Dragonfly Triathlon is the 2009 Mississippi qualifier for the Best of the US Amateur Triathlete Competition!
The Vicksburg District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Directors of The Memphis in May Triathlon invite you to discover Sardis Lake, one of North Mississippi's four Corps operated reservoirs. The lake provides a variety of outdoors recreational opportunities including fishing, hunting, camping, picnicking, boating, hiking and of course The DragonFlyTri.
The DragonFlyTri was started in 1990 by founder Tommy Weeks, who while riding across the Dam on a training ride, was swarmed by a flock of dragonflies. Well, the dragonflies really did not swarm him, but did ride with him for a while, and they probably are not called flocks, but Tommy did come up with the idea of the DragonFlyTri on that ride.
